🧮 Order simulator

The order simulator allows you to check an estimate of the shipping cost and profit of an order before placing it.

📍 To use it, within the Rates section, select the carrier you want to check and click on Simulate order .

Complete the following information:

• 🌍 Destination country: Select the country where your customer will receive the order
• 📍 Postal code: Enter the exact postal code of the destination
• 📦 Product: search and select the product you are going to send
• 🔢 Units: Indicates the quantity of units the order will contain.
  
• 💰 Selling price per unit : Enter the price at which you will sell each unit. This field is optional; if you leave it empty, it will be calculated with a price of 0.
• 🚚 Carrier: Select the transport company you want to check
• ⚡ Service: Choose the available shipping service you want to simulate
  
• 💳 Payment method : select how the customer will pay for the order; for example, cash on delivery (COD).
  
• ✅ Final status : Select the order outcome you want to simulate; for example, delivered.

Once you have filled in the required fields, click Simulate . The order simulator will calculate the cost and display the estimated profit based on the selected selling price, payment method, and final status.

📌 If you change the destination, product, quantity, selling price, carrier, service, payment method, or final status, press Simulate again to see the new amount and estimated profit.

⚖️ How are shipping rates calculated?

Shipping rates are calculated based on the highest value between:

• 📦 Actual product weight
• 📐 Volumetric weight of the product

The higher of the two values will always be used to determine the corresponding rate.

📏 Calculation of volumetric weight

The volumetric weight is calculated using the following equivalence:

1 m³ = 167 kg

The formula used is:

(Length × Width × Height) ÷ 6000

📌 Measurements must be expressed in centimeters.

⚠️ Shipping rates are not set by Dropea but by the shipping companies and may vary depending on the service contracted, the weight and destination of the shipment.
