You can now temporarily disconnect a Shopify store from Dropea without uninstalling the app. While syncing is disabled, Dropea won't collect or send anything from your store. This is useful, for example, to manage orders yourself for a few days or to review your store at your leisure. When you reactivate syncing, everything works as before.
| 🚫 DOES NOT ENTER dropea | 🚫 DOES NOT GO TO SHOPIFY |

| What's coming from Shopify | What drops updates in your store |
| New orders and changes to orders | Product stock |
| Orders sent using the "Send to drop" button | Shipment tracking |
| Abandoned shopping carts | Notes and labels on orders |
| Changes and deletions of products made in Shopify | Store information |
| Link or publish new products |
⚠️ Important: No error message appears, neither on Dropea nor on Shopify: nothing happens until you reactivate it. Orders already on Dropea continue to be prepared and shipped normally; the only issue is that their tracking is not updated on Shopify.
This is a Shopify store connected to Dropea. Other types of stores don't have this option. The account owner or a collaborator with permission to edit stores can change this setting. The Dropea team can also do it for you. All stores have synchronization enabled unless someone disables it.
Go to Stores, tap the three dots ··· next to your Shopify store and choose Sync.
Store menu in the Stores list.
Uncheck the box and click Save. The change takes effect immediately. To re-enable it, simply check the box again.
When you link or publish a product, the store with disabled synchronization appears grayed out in the store selector, labeled "Sync disabled," and cannot be selected. If you only have one store available, drop the one you want to select. To link products to the paused store, reactivate it first.
New orders will resume being processed as usual. Stock levels that changed while the store was paused will automatically be updated in the next update. You will once again be able to link and publish products in that store.
🚨 Orders from those days will not be recovered automatically
Orders placed in Shopify while sync was disabled are not automatically imported when sync is reactivated. If you want Dropea to process them, send them using the "Send to Dropea" button from Shopify once sync is reactivated, or create them manually.
Is it the same as disconnecting the store?
No. Disconnecting breaks the connection with Shopify. Pausing sync keeps your store connected and can be undone with one click.
Can I uninstall the app with sync paused?
Yes. Uninstalling works the same, whether it's active or not.
Is order verification still working?
Yes. You can check a Shopify order with the store paused, because it only checks and doesn't import anything.
Can I change it to the public API?
Yes, anyone using the Dropea API can enable or disable the synchronization of their stores without accessing the dashboard.
